Converse, LA (1/3/2024) – The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office (SPSO) reported the arrest on a woman for allegedly smoking methamphetamine on Snapchat.
Amber Dawn Castillo, 38, of Converse, Louisiana was arrested and booked into the SPSO Jail on December 28, 2023.
On December 24, 2023, an anonymous tip was submitted via our Sabine Parish Sheriff App of Castillo allegedly smoking methamphetamine on her Snapchat story.
Sabine Parish Sheriff Tactical Narcotics Team Agents investigated the case and were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Castillo and a search warrant for her home on North Stayton Street in the city of Converse.
T.N.T. Agents also obtained the Snapchat video and screenshots showing Castillo smoking methamphetamine with a glass pipe.
Sabine Parish Sheriff Special Operations Group executed the search warrant with T.N.T. Agents on Thursday, December 28th. Agents located and seized methamphetamine, a glass smoking device, and syringes.
Castillo’s residence is located just feet away from Converse School.
Castillo was arrested and booked into the Sabine Parish Women’s Jail for:
-Possession of schedule II (Meth),
-Possession of drug paraphernalia,
-Possession of CDS in a drug free school zone,
-Warrant for Possession of schedule II (Meth) and drug paraphernalia.
No bond has been set at this time.
