Alexandria, La. (2/5/2026) — Congressman Cleo Fields visits Rapides Parish schools on Thursday as part of his Congress to the Classroom initiative. The visits will take place in Alexandria, Louisiana, within the Sixth Congressional District.
Congressman Fields will visit Alexandria Middle Magnet School, Peabody Magnet High School, and Bolton Academy. These stops include students at the middle and high school levels.
Meanwhile, the broader Congress to the Classroom initiative reaches students across all grade levels. Throughout the district, Congressman Fields engages students from kindergarten through college.
The program focuses on strengthening students’ understanding of government. It also highlights the importance of education and public service.
Additionally, the initiative encourages lifelong civic engagement among young people. Students gain direct exposure to leadership and civic responsibility.
Congressman Cleo Fields visits Rapides Parish schools as part of a yearlong effort. Over time, he plans to visit 52 schools across Louisiana’s Sixth District.
As a result, students at every educational stage benefit from direct interaction with their Member of Congress. The approach connects classroom learning with real-world governance.
