BOYCE, LA (2/3/2025) – Community complaints led to meth arrests of Billy Gadburry and his son, Austin Gadburry, in the Boyce/Cotile Lake area.
Earlier in January, the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Unit received reports alleging the pair sold narcotics in the community.
RADE agents conducted an investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Austin Gadburry and a search warrant for their residence at 51 Kendall Lane. On February 1, 2025, agents executed the search warrant and found Billy Gadburry at the home. Austin arrived shortly afterward and was arrested without incident.
During the search, agents discovered one ounce of methamphetamine, two ounces of marijuana, and two firearms. Austin Gadburry, 25, was arrested for Criminal Conspiracy to Distribute CDS II (Methamphetamines). He was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and released the same day.
Billy Gadburry, 68, was arrested on multiple charges, including Possession of CDS I (Marijuana) with Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS II (Methamphetamines) with Intent to Distribute, Illegal Carrying of Firearms with Narcotics, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He remains in custody on a $19,000 bond.
The RADE Unit, a multi-jurisdictional task force, continues to target narcotics trafficking in Central Louisiana. Their investigation into the Gadburry case is ongoing.
