COLFAX, La. (12/3/2024) – Kendarius Jamal Nelson, wanted for a violent Eleanor Street incident, is being sought by the Colfax Police Department. The incident occurred on December 2, 2024, around 3:00 PM in Colfax, Louisiana. Police urge anyone with information to contact them immediately.
Nelson, 23, is wanted on multiple charges, including:
- Criminal Conspiracy (7 counts)
- Assault by Drive-by Shooting (7 counts)
- Attempted Second-Degree Murder (7 counts)
- Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
- Simple Criminal Damage to Property
The charges stem from an altercation that escalated into a dangerous confrontation. Authorities have labeled Nelson as armed and dangerous and caution the public not to approach him.
Arrests Made in Connection
Two suspects have already been arrested in connection with the Eleanor Street incident.
- James Henry Manning Sr., 64, was arrested at the scene and faces:
- Criminal Conspiracy (6 counts)
- Assault by Drive-by Shooting (7 counts)
- Attempted Second-Degree Murder (7 counts)
- Criminal Trespass
- James Henry Manning Jr., 28, was arrested later by Alexandria Police on unrelated charges and then charged by Colfax Police with:
- Criminal Conspiracy (8 counts)
- Assault by Drive-by Shooting (7 counts)
- Attempted Second-Degree Murder (7 counts)
- Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property
- Simple Criminal Damage to Property
