Marksville, La. (3/17/2026) – The CLHSD Marksville Resource Fair is set to bring vital services directly to residents in Avoyelles Parish. The Central Louisiana Human Services District announced the event as part of its ongoing outreach across Region 6.
The event will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It will be held at the Avoyelles Parish Health Unit, located at 657 Government Street in Marksville.
CLHSD is partnering with the Caring Choices Marksville Clinic, the Avoyelles Community and Youth Coalition, and the Avoyelles Parish Health Unit. Together, they aim to connect individuals and families with essential community resources.
The CLHSD Marksville Resource Fair will offer access to local agencies, health information, and support services. Organizers designed the event to improve awareness and increase access to available programs.
Additionally, families can enjoy a welcoming environment while learning about services. Children will be out of school that day, and organizers will provide hot dogs for attendees.
Community partners continue to play a key role in making the event possible. Supporting organizations include the Region 6 Office of Public Health and Knights of Columbus Council 1217.
Vendors are encouraged to participate and share their services with the public. Interested organizations can register through the official CLHSD vendor form or by using the event QR code.
Moreover, CLHSD encourages residents to attend, ask questions, and engage with local providers. Events like this help strengthen connections between agencies and the communities they serve.
