Vidalia, LA – March 4, 2024 – The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) has apprehended Myja Thompson, 26, of Clayton, Louisiana, following an incident involving the alleged carnal knowledge of a juvenile, possession of illegal substances, and counterfeit currency.
On February 26, 2024, CPSO detectives responded to a call regarding a juvenile who had reportedly been administered narcotics and subjected to physical assault by an adult male companion while inside a vehicle. The vehicle in question was located at the Sonic in Ferriday, prompting detectives to intervene.
Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Myja Thompson, authorities found him in possession of a loaded firearm and narcotics. Thompson, who was also discovered to be out on bond for an attempted murder charge in Catahoula Parish, was promptly detained by law enforcement officials.
Further investigation revealed details, indicating that the juvenile had been in Thompson’s company for a period of two days, during which she was under the influence of narcotics and allegedly subjected to multiple instances of sexual activity.
Subsequently, CPSO narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at Thompson’s residence in Clayton, where three grams of fentanyl and $1255 in counterfeit cash were seized as evidence.
Thompson now faces a litany of charges, including:
- Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile
- Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
- Possession of Schedule II CDS (Fentanyl)
- Monetary Instrument Abuse
- Possession of Schedule I CDS (Marijuana)
