Alexandria, LA (8/2/2024) – City of Alexandria ATRANS bus caught fire in Lincoln Road just north of Queens Court, leaving the bus completely destroyed. The fire occurred around 3:00 pm on Friday, August 2, 2024.
The Alexandria Fire Department investigator was seen examining the scene. The Alexandria Police Department, Alexandria Fire Department, Rapides Fire District #2, and many City of Alexandria employees were present.
At this time, it is not known if there were any injuries to passengers, city employees, or first responders. This is a developing story, and more details will be provided as they become available.
