Cheneyville, LA (9/11/2025) — Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit (LSP SVU) has arrested Cheneyville Police Chief Charles A. Issac, 37, on multiple child sex crime charges.
In early September 2025, investigators received a report of alleged sexual abuse involving a juvenile in the Cheneyville community. Following interviews, detectives identified Issac as the suspect.
Warrants were obtained, and Issac was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on September 11, 2025. He faces charges of:
- Molestation of a juvenile
- Sexual battery of a victim under 13
- Aggravated crimes against nature
State Police confirmed that Issac was not on duty when the alleged abuse occurred. Questions regarding his employment should be directed to the Office of the Mayor of Cheneyville.
Issac’s publicly available Facebook page also lists him as a firefighter with Fire District 18 in Lecompte.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
