Tropical Outlook
In the tropics, the National Weather Service is monitoring an area of low pressure in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico, which has a 20% chance of developing into a tropical depression over the next seven days.
This disturbance could bring heavy rainfall, potentially leading to flash flooding, as it meanders near the coast throughout the week. Additionally, a tropical wave in the western Atlantic has a 40% chance of development as it moves into the Caribbean. It’s still too early to determine if this system will impact the U.S.
