Bunkie, LA (8/17/2023) – The Bunkie Police Department (BPD) requests public assistance in locating suspects driving a stolen truck from the Alexandria Area.
BPD responded to the Cottonport Bank Branch on Main Street just before 6:30 am on Thursday regarding an alarm call at the ATM. Officer’s discovered that the Cottonport Bank’s ATM Machine had been broken into.
Upon review of camera surveillance footage, it revealed that two unknown black males, dressed in all black, exited a white Ford F350 pickup truck and used crowbar tools to attempt to steal the money contents of the ATM. When the suspects realized they could not enter the ATM’s money vault, they got into the vehicle, and a third suspect drove them away in an unknown direction of travel.
It was later discovered that the vehicle the suspects were in was stolen hours before in the Alexandria area. The vehicle has dark-tinted windows, a rear camper shell, and no license plate.
