Cincinnati, OH (1/2/2023) – The Monday Night Football game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals was postponed in a first for the NFL. After Bills safety Damar Hamlin, 24, collapsed on the field in the first quarter and was taken away by ambulance in critical condition, the NFL decided to postpone game until further notice.
After a normal tackle on Tee Higgins, Hamlin stood up and almost immediately collapsed with six minutes remaining in the first quarter.
Medical personnel administered CPR and attended to him for 10 minutes as players from both teams were visibly upset, some shedding tears on the sideline while others circled together and knelt in prayer.
Hamlin was later placed on a stretcher and transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. We are awaiting an update from the NFL and NFLPA.
Please keep this young man and him family in our prayers.
