Authorities identified the suspect as Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, a U.S. citizen from Texas. The FBI continues to lead the investigation, treating the incident as an act of terrorism. Agents conducted searches in New Orleans and other states, following leads to uncover Jabbar’s motives.
