LeCompte, LA (9/30/2022) – The Rapides Parish School System is aware and responding to a Bomb Threat at Rapides High School.
Update from Rapides Parish Sheriff Office:
At approximately 6:30 am this morning, the Deputy SRO at Rapides High School and Rapides High administrators were made aware of a threat of violence being spread on social media directed at Rapides High School.
Deputies quickly identified the individual, and the student was taken into custody without incident when they arrived at school. No weapons or suspicious packages were located.
The suspect was arrested, issued a juvenile citation, and released to their parents.
Normal operations have resumed at Rapides High School.
This incident is still under investigation.
