Alexandria, LA (4/20/2023) – Patrol Deputies have responded to the 7000 block of LA Highway 1 North about a deceased person.
According to the initial reports, personnel with the Louisiana Department of Transportation d Development mowing crews located the body at approximately 10:36 am.
Deputies are blocking the roadway in the area as Sheriff’s Detectives and Crime Scene Unit have responded to conduct their investigation. Detectives say due to the evidence found at the scene, they are treating this as a homicide.
Motorists are asked to take alternate routes until the scene is clear.
