Blue Town Community, LA (10/25/2023) – The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) reported a body was found in the Blue Town Community.
On Sunday, October 22, 2023, at approximately 6:10 pm, the Avoyelles 911 Communication Center received a report of a body found in the Blue Town Community north of Marksville, LA.
The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) located the body of an unknown female (medium to large build) in a wooded area near a field. Avoyelles Parish Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the scene.
The body was sent for an autopsy and will be further analyzed by the FACES Lab in Baton Rouge, LA. The body has not yet been positively identified. Foul play is suspected. APSO Detectives and the Avoyelles Coroner’s Office continue to jointly investigate the matter to determine the cause and manner of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
