Baton Rouge, LA (2/11/2023) – The Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) reported two St. James Parish men were arrested in connection to the mass shooting at Dior Bar and Lounge.
On February 10, 2023, BRPD Homicide Detectives were assisted by St. James Parish Sheriff’s Department Detectives and Deputies in executing multiple search warrants in St. James Parish.
NIKEAL FRANKLIN, 19, and JY’SHAUN JACKSON, 19, were arrested for their involvement in the shooting that occurred on January 21, 2023, at Dior Bar & Lounge (4619 Bennington Avenue).
Franklin was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for 12 counts of Attempted 1st Degree Murder. Jackson was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for 12 counts of Principal to Attempted 1st Degree Murder.
This is an ongoing investigation.
