Baton Rouge, LA (3/18/2023) – According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, Detectives arrested Jacob Knazs, for his involvement in the fatal Hit and Run traffic crash on March 12, 2023, in the 5700 block of South Sherwood Forest Blvd.
Knazs was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for Felony Hit and Run on Thursday, March 16, 2023. According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Inmate Inquiry System, Knazs Bond was $33,000. Knazs was released the same day.
The fatal crash occurred on Sunday, March 12, 2023, around 8:45 pm on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard. Police said the victim was crossing the street to meet friends. The victim was found in a parking lot after the crash.
The victim was identified as Breunkia Collins, 32, was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
