Baton Rouge: Man suspected of shooting at a BRPD Officer was arrested

Baton Rouge, LA (5/24/2023) – Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) Detectives arrested a man suspected of shooting a BRPD Officer.

Borloz Louidor, 40, was arrested on May 23, 2023, for Attempt 1st Degree Murder of a Peace Officer, Illegal Use of a Weapon, Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Aggravated Flight from an Officer while inside the City Limits of Baton Rouge.

BRPD Uniformed Officers were called to assist Louisiana State Police LSP) in a vehicle pursuit of a maroon-colored Dodge pick-up truck around 9:15 pm last night. While assisting LSP in the pursuit, the pick-up truck driver fired a shot at a responding officer.

Officers lost sight of the vehicle near the Airline Hwy-Greenwell Springs Rd area. Officers were able to locate the abandoned pick-up in the immediate area and then located Louidor hiding in the 6400 block of Blackwell St. Louidor was taken into custody without incident.

Louidor has been booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. This is an ongoing investigation.
