RAPIDES PARISH, La. (1/16/2025) – Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries in South Rapides Parish, authorities confirmed.
In the early hours of January 4, 2025, security cameras captured at least two individuals burglarizing or attempting to burglarize multiple vehicles in the Echo and Poland areas. Stolen items included firearms, electronics, clothing, and cash.
The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO) responded, gathering evidence and releasing surveillance stills to the public. Detectives later identified the suspects as 18-year-old Blake Michael Brouillette of Center Point and 22-year-old Tyler Ray Manning of Hessmer.
On January 14, 2025, RPSO Detectives, with assistance from the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office, Pineville Police Department, and Marksville Police Department, executed search warrants at three properties linked to the suspects. Both individuals were arrested without incident and booked into the Avoyelles Parish Jail before being extradited to the Rapides Parish Detention Center. They remain in custody on $80,000 bonds each.
This is an ongoing investigation involving additional incidents in the Kolin, Pineville, and Avoyelles Parish areas. Authorities expect more arrests.
