Pineville, LA (1/24/2024) – The Pineville Police Department (PPD) has successfully apprehended four individuals linked to two separate incidents that unfolded in close succession.
The arrests come after diligent investigations into a vehicle burglary at Pineville High School and an armed robbery at Tanglewood Apartments.
On January 19, 2024, authorities responded to a report of a vehicle burglary at Pineville High School, located at 1511 Line Street. Three days later, an armed robbery was reported at Tanglewood Apartments on 2114 Shreveport Highway. Detectives, conducting a thorough inquiry, were able to establish a common description linking one individual to both events.
As a result of their investigation, the following arrests have been made:
- Evontae Walter: 19-year-old black male, facing charges of Armed Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.
- Jacoree McGill: 18-year-old black male, charged with Armed Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy.
- Two Juveniles: One charged with Armed Robbery, Simple Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, and Criminal Conspiracy, while the other faces charges of Simple Burglary of a Motor Vehicle.
Evontae Walter and Jacoree McGill are currently in custody at the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
