Alexandria, La. (12/31/2025) — The Alexandria Police Department announced an arrest in the Gordon Avenue shooting in Alexandria.
According to police, officers arrested 19-year-old John Harrison Jr. at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
Police said the arrest is connected to the December 28, 2025 shooting on Gordon Avenue in Alexandria.
Officers charged Harrison with one count of attempted second-degree murder and one count of attempted robbery.
Police stated the charges stem from the Gordon Avenue incident and emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities noted the charges are allegations and that a suspect is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
