Arrest Made in Connection with Body Found on MacArthur Drive

Alexandria, LA – (9/24/2024) – An arrest has been made in connection with the body found on MacArthur Drive last week. The Alexandria Police Department (APD) confirmed the arrest of 43-year-old Jason Fruge of Alexandria on Monday, September 23, 2024.

The body of 59-year-old Robert Fink was discovered in the 1100 block of MacArthur Drive on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Fruge faces multiple charges, including one count of Felony Hit and Run, operating with a Suspended Driver’s License, Switched License Plate, Altered Motor Vehicle Inspection, Failure to Register, and No Insurance. His total bond has been set at $201,400.

The arrest follows an investigation that began immediately after officers responded to the scene at around 8:30 AM last Thursday. Fruge’s alleged involvement in the incident leading to Fink’s death is still under investigation.
