Arrest Made in Connection to March 31st Murder of Jesse Lee Tatum, III on Pisciotta Street; Second Man Wanted by APD

Alexandria, LA (4/15/2024) – The Alexandria Police Department has made progress in the investigation of the March 31st homicide in the 4100 block of Pisciotta Street.

Jesse Lee Tatum III, a 49-year-old resident of Alexandria, LA, was found deceased from a gunshot wound at approximately 3:08 AM.

On Friday, April 12, 2024, authorities in North Carolina arrested 21-year-old Shaheem White of Alexandria, LA, in connection with the case.

White was apprehended on an active APD warrant and is facing charges of Second Degree Murder, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Illegal Use of a Weapon. He currently remains in North Carolina awaiting extradition proceedings.

Today, the Alexandria Police Department released a photo of a second individual wanted in connection with the case. Jarvis White, aged 29 and also from Alexandria, LA, is being sought by authorities. Active warrants have been issued for Jarvis White on charges of Second Degree Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
