Alexandria, La. (3/22/2026) – An Alexandria 9th Street shooting sent one person to the hospital and ended with an arrest.
The shooting happened Friday, March 20, around 3:50 p.m. in the 2700 block of 9th Street.
Alexandria Police responded after a victim arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. The victim was treated for injuries. Police have not released their condition.
Officers identified 18-year-old Kaden Johnson as a suspect in the case.
He was arrested and charged with:
• Attempted Second-Degree Murder
Johnson was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing. Detectives are still working to determine what led to the shooting.
