Alexandria, LA (12/13/2025) — Alexandria Police are investigating a homicide that occurred Friday night in the 100 block of Tennessee Avenue.
Police responded to the scene at approximately 9:30 PM on December 12, 2025, following reports of a shooting. Officers located 32-year-old Antonio Nicols, who suffered gunshot wounds.
Sources told UrbanCast that Nicols was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle. However, he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, multiple witnesses told UrbanCast they heard five to six gunshots during the incident. Shortly after, police secured the area.
Additionally, UrbanCast observed crime scene detectives collecting evidence and speaking with community members at the scene.
Alexandria Police are now searching for 28-year-old Jorion Handerson of Alexandria in connection with the case. Police describe Handerson as a Black male, 5’9” and approximately 180 pounds.
Furthermore, Handerson has an active warrant for second-degree murder. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities urge the public not to approach Handerson. Instead, anyone with information should contact police immediately.
