Alexandria, LA (6/27/2024) – Residents of the Hynson/Eastwood Streets area reported finding a gray Honda in an empty lot with the key in the ignition and the engine running. The vehicle appeared to be badly damaged.
Alexandria Police Department officers and crime scene detectives were on the scene investigating the incident. A request for more information was emailed to APD’s Public Information Officer. Based on past car theft incidents within the city limits, it is suspected that no report will be made public.
Note: Although APD is completing the report, they are not receiving approvals to release the information to the public according to sources.
Typically, most police departments release this type of information immediately. However, since the current Roy administration took office, normal and routine information has been blocked.
