Alexandria, LA (11/29/2023) – The Alexandria Police Department (APD) reported a man was taken into custody for domestic-related charges.
On Monday, November 27, 2023, at approximately 3:30 PM, APD responded to the 400 block of 12th Street in reference to a domestic battery. Responding officers located the armed suspect, 43-year-old Jeremy Daigrepont of Alexandria, LA, in a nearby home.
Daigrepont was taken into custody and charged with one count of Resisting an Officer, one count of Domestic Abuse Battery, and one count of Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault.
According to the RPSO Inmate Inquiry System, no one with the name of Jeremy Daigrepont was booked into Rapides Parish Jail.
A source on the scene stated the suspect was taken into custody by APD and it appeared Daigrepont was not injured.
According to APD, this investigation is currently ongoing.
