Alexandria, LA (3/22/2023) – The Alexandria Police Department (APD) has made two arrests for the homicide that occurred Sunday night, March 19, 2023, on Lee Street.
At approximately 7:00 PM, APD was dispatched to Lee Street and Bank Drive about reports of gunshots and someone being shot. Upon arriving, officers discovered a 43-year-old male from Alexandria, LA, lying near the intersection. Medical personnel pronounced the person deceased at the scene.
Eric Dewayne Perry, 43, of Alexandria, Louisiana, was identified as the deceased victim by APD Detectives.
APD Detectives arrested Kenneth Ray Sears, 34, and Nicole Slaughter, 41. Both were charged 1-Count of 2nd Degree Murder. Sears and Slaught are from Alexandria, LA.
Sears’s bond is set at $1,000,000; Slaughter’s bond is set at $1,001,950.
This investigation is currently ongoing.
