Alexandria, La. (May 22, 2025) — A 17-year-old Alexandria Senior High School student has died following a shooting in the 4000 block of Clark Street.
According to the Alexandria Police Department (APD), officers responded to the scene at approximately 5:30 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
Three individuals were transported to a local hospital. Two suffered moderate injuries. Tragically, Corey Brooks, a student at Alexandria Senior High, later died from his injuries.
APD has not provided a motive for the shooting, nor confirmed whether it was an isolated incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
