UPDATE:
Alexandria, LA (9/10/2023) – The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO) reported one person was shot on Browns Bend Road.
At approximately 5:30 PM, Patrol Deputies responded to the 400 block of Browns Bend Road, Alexandria, about a report of a victim suffering a gunshot wound.
Acadian Ambulance transported the victim to a local hospital, where their condition was listed as critical.
Sheriff’s Detectives and Crime Scene Unit responded to conduct their investigation. Detectives, Patrol Deputies, and Crime Suppression Unit are in the area attempting to locate the suspect.

According to multiple sources, the shooting occurred around 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 10, 2023. Approximately five sheriff’s units were on the scene.
