Alexandria, La. (3/11/2026) — The Alexandria Police Department is searching for two men connected to the MacArthur Drive shooting Alexandria reported Monday night.
Police identified the suspects as 21-year-old Dequayvieon Carter and 18-year-old Frank Carter Jr. Authorities say both brothers face four counts of attempted second-degree murder.
Investigators say the charges stem from the shooting that occurred Monday, March 9, in the 3900 block of MacArthur Drive. The MacArthur Drive shooting Alexandria incident prompted a large police response.
Officers responded to the scene around 7:27 p.m. after reports of gunfire. One person was injured and transported to a local hospital.
Witnesses previously told UrbanCast they heard multiple gunshots near Speedy Pete’s, McDonald’s, and the Valero gas station. Officers from the Alexandria Police Department and Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office secured the area.
Crime scene tape stretched from Speedy Pete’s toward the rear of the Valero property along Lakeside Drive. Meanwhile, investigators canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses.
Police now say both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Authorities urge residents not to approach either individual.
Instead, police ask anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts to contact investigators immediately.
