Alexandria Police Investigate Single-Vehicle Crash Involving 2-Year-Old Pedestrian

Alexandria, LA (3/29/24) – The Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a 2-year-old pedestrian on Thursday, March 28, 2024, around 7:05 PM.

The incident occurred in the 3600 block of Green Meadow Street.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that the child had been struck by a motor vehicle and was transported to a local hospital with injuries. Preliminary investigations indicated that the child was in the roadway at the time of the crash.

Following standard procedures, a routine toxicology test was conducted on the driver of the vehicle involved. However, APD did not provide details regarding whether the driver was in custody.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
