Alexandria, LA (1/29/24) – In the early hours of Saturday, January 27, 2024, at approximately 3:20 AM, the Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to reports of a person burglarizing vehicles in the 2500 block of Avenue A.Â
Responding officers successfully apprehended 67-year-old Gerald Baker of Alexandria, LA, who now faces initial charges of two counts of simple burglary.
Further investigations revealed that Baker was allegedly involved in additional criminal activities. On Monday, January 29, 2024, APD charged Baker with three more counts of simple burglary and one count of Attempted Burglary. These charges stem from vehicle burglaries committed in the area of Joe Hesni Boulevard on January 22, 2024.
