Alexandria, LA (5/16/2023) – Alexandria Police Department reported two men were arrested for the burglary of a sporting goods store.
On May 16, 2023, at 12:19 am, APD patrol officers responded to 3205 MacArthur Drive, Academy Sporting Goods. Upon arrival, officers located glass breakage indicating forced entry.
While searching the business, officers located Christopher Green, 22, of Houston, Texas, and Emmanuel Frank, 18, of Alexandria, Louisiana. Green and Frank were arrested for simple burglary and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
On Saturday, May 13, 2023, damage was sustained to Security Sporting Goods, where firearms are sold. According to the owner, recent upgrades to the perimeter of the building prevented the burglar(s) from gaining entry. No contents of the store stolen.
On Sunday, May 14, 2023, damage was sustained to Guns Guns Guns (The Gun Shop), according to APD upgrades to the perimeter of the building prevented burglar(s) from gaining entry. APD said there was no known theft from the business.
Upon further investigation by APD Detectives, Green and Frank were linked to attempted burglaries at Securty Sprting Good and Guns Guns Guns over the weekend. Green and Frank were additionally charged with two counts of attempted burglary.
