Deville, LA (9/13/2023) – The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office reported an Alexandria man suspected of the Browns Bend Road murder was arrested in Deville.
Late last night, Detectives with RPSO obtained credible information that Richard Scott Dauzart was possibly at a location on LA Hwy 1206, Deville, LA.
Through their investigation, Detectives established sufficient probable cause that a search warrant for the residence was obtained and executed by the RPSO SWAT team.
In the execution of this search warrant, Richard Scott Dauzart was located and taken into custody without incident and placed under arrest for 2nd Degree Murder and Obstruction of Justice.
DAUZART was booked into RPSO Detention Center 1, where he remains at the time of this release, being held on a $1,025,000.00 bond.
