Alexandria, La. – The family of Mr. Robert Dickerson, age 60, confirmed to UrbanCast that he passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from injuries sustained in a structural fire on Elliot Street.
According to the family, the fire occurred on Friday, August 29, 2025. Mr. Dickerson was first transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center and later airlifted to Ochsner LSU Health in Shreveport. Despite efforts by medical staff, he passed away around 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
Family members told UrbanCast they were unofficially informed of his death by a family friend on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. After reaching out to the Alexandria Police Department, they were referred to the Alexandria Fire Department, where Fire Prevention officials confirmed the incident.
At this time, the family says they do not know the circumstances surrounding the fire and are seeking answers about what happened.
