Alexandria Man Charged with 2nd-Degree Murder Following Domestic-Related Stabbing; Bond Set at $1,000,000

Alexandria, LA (March 17, 2024) – According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Inmate Inquiry System, an Alexandria man has been arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder in connection with a domestic-related incident.

Gary Arnez Lee, Jr., aged 32, was booked into Rapides Parish Detention Center 1 at 12:31 am.

The Alexandria Police Department (APD) released a statement regarding the incident. On Saturday, March 16, 2024, at approximately 5:25 PM, APD responded to the 2500 block of Los Angeles Street following reports of a domestic-related stabbing involving a father and son. Gary Lee Sr., aged 60 of Alexandria, was pronounced deceased at a local hospital due to multiple stab wounds. Subsequently, 32-year-old Gary Lee Jr. of Alexandria was apprehended by the Alexandria Police Department in connection with this case. Gary Lee Jr. is facing one count of Second Degree Murder.

Lee’s bond has been set at $1,000,000.
