Alexandria Man Arrested on Felony Charges Involving Juvenile Victim

ALEXANDRIA, La. (July 3, 2025) – The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO) announced the arrest of an Alexandria man accused of crimes involving a juvenile.

On June 22, deputies responded to the Tioga Substation after receiving a walk-in complaint alleging criminal sexual conduct. The alleged victim was identified as a juvenile. Detectives quickly launched an investigation following the initial report.

Through interviews and witness statements, investigators identified Travante Latrez Williams, 21, of Alexandria as the suspect. Consequently, on June 30, detectives obtained warrants for his arrest.

Williams faces two counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile, and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

On June 30, RPSO detectives located Williams at his residence on Lisa Street. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center. Williams remains in custody on a $350,000 bond.

The Sheriff’s Office confirmed the investigation is active and ongoing. Authorities have indicated that additional arrests could occur.
