Alexandria: “Lend me your ear” community listening meeting

Alexandria, LA (6/7/2023) – Several community members are hosting a listening session at Christian Love Baptist Church to obtain input from the City’s youth.

The purpose of this community meeting is to invite city, parish, state, and local community leaders to listen to what our youth have to say.

The spokesperson, Sterling Brown, said, “Too many times we as adults have told the youth what we want them to do, and it’s obvious our methods of approach are not working nor effective.”

Brown went on to say, “Now it’s time we give them their platform and we listen to what they have to say and take their ideas and put in place an effective plan of action from their point of view.”
