Alexandria, LA (9/15/2023) – Firefighters with the Alexandria Fire Department and Rapides Fire Department were on the scene at an apartment fire on Lakeside Drive on Thursday, September 14, 2023.
According to residents of the Sanctuary Apartments (formerly Cheatueau DeVille), the fire started around 5 p.m. in a two-story unit.
Acadian Ambulance Service and Alexandria Police Department were also on scene.
No further information is known regarding the number of units damaged, injuries, or temporary housing for residents impacted by the fire.
Sources within the Alexandria Fire Department said a report of the incident was forwarded to the Alexandria Mayor’s Office, however, no press release has been made.
