Pineville, LA (6/11/2024) – An Alexandria Transit (ATRANS) bus caught fire this morning on Claiborne Street in Pineville, near Pineville High School. The incident occurred near Hudson Road, between Military Highway and the Shreveport/Monroe Highways split.
Emergency responders from the Pineville Fire Department and Pineville Police Department, along with ATRANS personnel, arrived on the scene to manage the situation. According to an eyewitness on the bus, all passengers were able to exit safely. Another passenger said the bus driver, Jerry was very professional. However, it is currently unclear if there were any injuries.
