Zachary, La. (11/12/2022) – According to the Zachary Fire Department (ZFD), a woman crashed a vehicle into the attic of a home. The crash occurred in the 2300 block of Rita Street at about 5:30 pm on Friday, November 11, 2022.
Upon arrival, fire crews found a single vehicle on the roof of a home.
Crews worked diligently to locate a trapped occupant and safely extricate her. Acadian AirMed transported the woman to a local Baton Rouge hospital.
Authorities believe the car went into a ditch and hit a tree before going airborne onto the roof of a home.
According to the ZFD, Acadian Air Med, East Baton Rouge Parish Medical Services, and Zachary Police Department were on the scene.
