ALEXANDRIA, La. (12/9/2024) – The Alexandria Police Department is actively seeking assistance in solving the Darnell “Foxx” Barrett homicide, which occurred on January 17, 2022.
This tragic incident took place in the 1900 block of Day Street, where Barrett, 25, was fatally shot during a robbery.
Detectives have been working diligently to resolve this case but need the public’s help. Two male suspects, reportedly wearing ski masks, robbed and shot Barrett and a 24-year-old woman from Cottonport. Barrett tragically died at the scene, while the female victim sustained life-threatening injuries and managed to seek help at a nearby gas station.
