Alexandria, LA (7/13/2024) – Louisiana Cardiovascular & Thoracic Institute (LACVT) hosted a heartfelt virtual birthday celebration for Helen Mae Clark Thomas, the beloved grandmother of Sherri Berry, a dedicated wound care nurse at the practice. Mrs. Thomas turns 105 years old on July 15, 2024.
Born in 1919 in Mississippi, Helen Mae Clark Thomas has witnessed over a century of history, changes, and progress. Throughout her life, she has remained a pillar of strength and inspiration to her family and community. Known for her unwavering faith in God and her profound love for her large family, Mrs. Thomas embodies the virtues of resilience, kindness, and devotion.
To honor this remarkable milestone, Dr. Gary Jones and the staff at LACVT hosted a virtual birthday party on Friday, July 12, 2024. This event celebrated Mrs. Thomas’s incredible journey and her contributions to her family and community. It was an opportunity for family members, friends, and well-wishers to join together in expressing their love and admiration for Mrs. Thomas.
Mrs. Thomas’s rich family legacy includes her late husband, Larnie Lorenzo Thomas, their six children, 17 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She is also a cherished member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Savoy, Mississippi.
