Shreveport, LA (2/9/2023) – Troopers are investigating an officer-involved shooting near the 400 block of West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, within the city limits of Shreveport, at the request of the Shreveport Police Department (SPD). One subject was shot and received non-life-threatening injuries. No officers were injured during the incident.

On Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 4:12 pm Shreveport Police Department responded to the Family Dollar parking lot in the 9400 block of Linwood Avenue.
Upon arrival, SPD Officers located a male suffering from a gunshot wound. That male victim was transported to Oschner LSU Hospital by SFD Medic with what’s being considered non-life threatening.
While other officers were responding to this scene, they spotted the suspect and began a chase.
The chase ended in a grassy field near the 400 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.
