Lecompte, LA (1/21/2023) – Sheriff’s Detectives request the public’s assistance in investigating the criminal damage at Vaughn Chevrolet of Lecompte, 1104 US Highway 71 South, Lecompte, LA, on Thursday, December 29th, 2022.
According to the initial report, between 7 pm on December 28, 2022, and 6 am on December 29, 2022, an unknown individual or individuals, maliciously spray painted 29 vehicles, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to new, used, and privately owned vehicles. The repair cost for each vehicle ranges from $1000 to $1500 each.
Sheriff’s Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen anything on those dates to contact Det. Shannon Hanks, Criminal Investigation Division, at 319-473-6727.
