Baton Rouge, La. (12/7/2022) – Three Southern University students were killed in a vehicle crash. The crash occurred in Natchitoches Parish, according to the NPSO. Louisiana State Police, Troop E managed the scene and will release the official press release.
Our thoughts and prayers this morning are with the family, the Southern University “Human Jukebox” Marching Band, and Southern University System.

(Powhatan)- At 7:41pm, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, Louisiana State Police, and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS are on the scene of a major 2-vehicle crash involving multiple injuries on I-49 (northbound) near milepost #149 north of Powhatan according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The scene is active.
The Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office is responding to the scene.
If you are traveling through the area, drive carefully, pay attention to the road and avoid distractions while law enforcement and emergency medical services work the crash.
Traffic is down to one-lane near the crash.
