Texarkana, TX (3/17/2023) – Texarkana Police Department (TPD) reported receiving a call regarding a suspicious situation involving an older man and a young girl.
Error, no group ID set! Check your syntax!On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, TPD received calls from employees at the Whataburger on New Boston Road a little before noon. They told police that a juvenile girl and an older man were eating togethe,r and something didn’t seem right about the situation.
The employees’ instincts were spot on.
The 13-year-old girl told officers that Michael Clark, 79k offered her money in exchange for sexual favors that day and had inappropriately touched her during a previous encounter a few weeks before. Clark picked up the girl in his truck as she walked down the street just before they went to the Whataburger that morning.
After interviewing everyone involved, detectives obtained warrants for Clark and arrested him for Indecency with a Child and Solicitation of Prostitution the next day.
Clark is currently held in the Bi-State Jail, where his bond has been set at $225,000.
