Slidell, LA (4/26/2023) – The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office (STPSO) reported a teen girl died after crashing an all-terain vehicle (ATV) into a tree on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
Samia Rogers, 14, of Williams Road, just outside of Slidell City Limits was transported to a local hospital were she later died.
The second 14-year-old girl injured in the crash was transported to a local hopital; her condition is unkown.
According to sheriff’s spokeperson the teens were not wearing a helmet, failed to navigate curve, hit a tree and were thrown from the ATV.
Our community is mourning the loss of one of our 8th grade Slidell Junior High students, Samia Rogers, who passed away last night after an ATV accident.
