Shreveport, LA (2/22/2023) – A man shot and killed in the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood Tuesday, February 21, 2023, has been presumptively named by the Caddo Parish Coroner’s office.
Roy Delane Crew Jr., 38, was shot and killed just after 5:10 p.m. at a residence in the 2100 block of Miller Avenue, which runs south off Yorktown Drive east of Hilry Huckaby III Avenue.
Mr. Crew’s identification is pending confirmation through fingerprint comparison.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department, to which media should direct further inquiries.
The slaying marks the 12th homicide in Shreveport and Caddo Parish in 2023.
According to an official, an autopsy was ordered.
